Hello My Name Is...

Dan Huey

I am a father of  three girls; Allison 20, Grace 16 and Alaina 14.  Grace and Alaina attend Pine Lake Preparatory.  Allison attends Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh.  My wife Jodi is a  physical therapist with Carolina Rehab.

I graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelors degree in mathematics and education.  Upon graduation our family moved to Jupiter, Florida for nine years. While on vacation I taught mathematics at Atlantic High and Palm Beach Gardens High School. The past six years I taught at Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte, everything from eighth grade math to precalculus.

 My hobbies consist of mountain bike riding and more mountain bike riding.

So many events in my life have lead me  to CSD.  I  too share the same core beliefs in education with Joy and the staff.  I am excited to teach at this school and  continue to grow as an educator and person.
